Sindh: Ways and Days - A medley of memories, Hunting and Sporting
The present volume embodies broadly the sporting experiences of Pir Ali Muhammad Rashdi, concentrating the narrative around the province of Sindh, Pakistan, as the author is a Sindhi. This book covers his wanderings in the wilds, villages, and remote regions of the country in pursuit of game. He has tried to concentrate on the central theme of Shikar, pointing out a number of excellent hunting spots in Sindh and India. He has described methods of hunting; has given his impressions about the ways and habits of various game animals; recorded his observations on the actual performance in the field, of various popular firearms. The author has also taken the opportunity to familiarize readers with the places and peoples which had borne the brunt of the political and social upheavals in the Indian subcontinent.
